Collegiate sports fundamentally changed a few years ago with the advent of NIL which now allows players to make money by selling rights to their name, image and likeness—something that was previously prevented by the NCAA.
NIL-Wire is a daily newsletter that kicked off in 2023 and has already garnered tens of thousands of subscribers in just a few short months.
Artifact was commissioned to:
- Design a standout brand and identity fitting for a collegiate sports audience
- Provide a brand style guide for stakeholders and marketers to adhere to, and
- Build the HTML email newsletter with high deliverability
Guidance we were given was to use bright colors without fully committing to the Neubrutalism style that’s recently grown in popularity.
